Hebridean Blue
Hebridean Blue
£8.50
Hebridean Blue, is a delicious hard blue cheese made on the Isle of Mull by the Reade family.
Similar in texture to Stilton, but with very different flavours, Hebridean Blue has initial dairy flavours of fudge and condensed milk, which give way to stronger flavours of black treacle and digestive biscuits, especially on the rind of the cheese.
The cheese is made using unpasteurised milk from their own island cows who are fed on grass and whisky grains from the nearby Tobermory Distillery.
As this is a Scottish cheese, we really enjoy Hebridean Blue with oatcakes and a singly malt whisky.
This cheese is not suitable for vegetarians.
Weight is approximately 250g
