Posted @withrepost • @richfoto It’s been difficult & painful for Nick, but obviously necessary, to go through the editing process of our accidental photo project exhibition. Raking over the past is never easy, especially when looking back in the mirror. But strangely constructive to see how far he has come. Be interesting to hear what his inside story is. These images specifically, are when we began hanging out during the days a couple of years ago, when I’d drop by for tea & biscuits. He wasn’t really functioning at all, a flourish of mania, with a large dose of wearing that tracksuit top constantly. Plenty of despair. You can see from his face how tiring that was, a brain working overtime with no real outlet for the pressure within. It was a difficult watch, to put it mildly. If you know someone who struggles along in the same way, just be there for them, without judgement. The pictures are hung, the cheese is ripe, the beer is crafty and we’re ready for you, Walthamstow! The shop is open every day and I’ll be in and out at weekends.
