When you find a blue as good as Isle of Wight Blue then you need to find a wine that can match up to it. We think we’ve done this with Vistamar Sepia 2018 Reserva Malbec, a classic Chilean Malbec. Black cherries, violet and blackberries are all prominent on the nose and palate, with a hint of vanilla, which comes from the oak casks in which the wine is aged. Isle of Wight Blue is a soft, naturally rinded blue with a mild blue flavour when young, which quickly develops as the cheese matures to around 7 weeks which is the age we think it’s at its best and a perfect time to enjoy it with this beautiful Malbec.
