A beautiful Italian red that’s a recent addition to our selection and we wish we’d brought it in sooner. Produced from Amarone and Valpolicella grapes, Appassimento is the process by which the grapes are dried before vinification, a technique common in Veneto where this wine is produced.

Aromas of red berries and cherry give way to brambles, cherry and a delicate sweetness on the palate. This wine is great with slow cooked meat dishes and barbecues while also being a great match for strong cheeses. We pair Appassimento with Winslade, a soft, full flavoured cheese from Hampshire.
