This Sunday 13th October, join us at St Mary's from 3-4.30pm for tours, project presentations, free refreshments and children's activities. We'll share more about why we want to make St Mary's a Creative Church for a Creative Community and will share how we plan to get the building open throughout the week as a centre of arts, prayer and transformation, with a cafe run by Froth & Rind, an art gallery space and more. So to start us off we have Froth and Rind. They have a whole menu of toasties with cheesy pun names. Today I went for the Roger Cheddarer which was an emmental and chorizo toastie prices at £5.50. First of all, so much cheese! Seriously, this was a cheese-FILLED cheese toastie. The emmental was tasty and the chorizo added a lovely kick. No need for any chutney - great flavour combination and texture. Loved it. Ease of eating 1 handed whilst holding a baby? I thought this was going to be a challenge because there was SO MUCH CHEESE but the knife helped and I managed without a problem. Messy? Surprising non on either me or the wriggly baby. This could be a first! For those of you who don't know him, this is Fraser (Fras for short): Froth and Rind's Artistic Director of the Wedding Department, Rota Coordinator, Coffee bean liaison and Minister in charge of having really long arms to reach all the stuff that Natalia can't. Don't be deceived by his soft dulcet Glaswegian tones and stoic demeanour - he is the wittiest of us all...in writing. Jokes aside, he truly is the kindest and loveliest boss we all ever had. And today is his BIRTHDAY!
