Please check in with Test and Trace

We’re really excited about being able to have you back and sitting down with us, albeit outside but there are a few things we need to remember while doing so.

There are new Test and Trace regulations that require everybody who enters a venue to check in. It states:

“From March 29th 2021 regulations regarding venue check in are changing. All visitors will be required to check in to enter hospitality venues, not just one per group. Individuals can do this by checking in with the NHS COVID-19 app or, by providing their name and contact details. Anyone who does not comply must be refused entry. Ensure you are compliant with the rules or you may face a £1000 fine.

As a hospitality venue you are legally required to display an official NHS QR code poster at your venue and ensure all individuals check in”.

Please note from the above that every visitor has to check in and if they refuse, then we must refuse entry. If you know us then you’ll know we’re not a rules kind of place, we’re generally pretty relaxed and easy going. However, as you can see this is a legal requirement and if we don’t comply then we face the fine.

Unfortunately today (April 12th) the team at the shop received quite a bit of pushback regarding checking in. This is really unfair on the team when all they want to do is serve great coffee and toasties, especially as it’s not their rules, it’s not even Froth & Rind rules, it’s a legal obligation imposed by the UK Government.

So please, download the app and check in when asked. It won’t just be us that’s asking you to do this.

Let’s all enjoy having a bit more freedom.

With love, Froth & Rind.
